Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it's alarmed with regards to the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area each day. The services point established for intervention activities a large influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend sassa status check to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to enable the servicing of all prospects and boost access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
